Salary £47,181 - £50,269 (G10 SCP 36-39) pro rata
30 hours per week (working pattern to be negotiated), 195 days per year (term time) + 10 days
The Governors of Chuckery Primary School and Leighswood School are seeking to appoint an ambitious and effective Senior Business Manager to provide strategic business leadership to the Executive Headteacher, Governors, and Heads of School across both schools, while guiding Business Managers in delivering effective operational practice.
The successful candidate will become an integral part of the life of both schools and contribute to the ongoing school improvement process. They will provide strategic financial leadership, ensuring both schools maximise their resources and long-term sustainability through rigorous budget planning, monitoring, and financial oversight.
Strategic oversight of:- Human Resources
- Administration
- Caretaking and estate management
- Contract management
- has a passion for education and proven experience as an effective School Business Manager
- has a strong knowledge of school finance, HR, contract administration, and estate management (including Health and Safety)
- demonstrates enthusiasm, initiative, flexibility, and a committed approach to their work
- is an effective team builder who is dynamic and inspires others
- can attend termly Governing Committee meetings at both schools to provide strategic financial oversight
- can effectively split their time across both school sites
- shares the commitment to working in partnership with parents, governors, the federation, and the wider community
- has excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- a strong commitment to professional development, including funding to support your career aspirations
