Senior Business Development Manager - EV Charging & Energy Platform
Location: Hybrid (Brussels Office)
Salary: Up to €80,000 base + Up to 50% Uncapped Commission
Languages Required: Bilingual in English and Dutch or French
Role Overview
Our client, a rapidly growing company in the electric vehicle (EV) charging and energy sector, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Development Manager.
This is a pivotal role focused on expanding their EV charging and energy platform across European markets. The successful candidate will be passionate about sustainable energy and technology, and skilled at developing and nurturing relationships with installation partners, wholesalers, and automotive retailers.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with installation and distribution partners, including electrical installers, wholesalers, and car retailers.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business growth and market expansion targets.
- Proactively generate new leads while managing inbound sales enquiries to ensure a strong, sustainable pipeline.
- Deliver exceptional partner and customer service, ensuring long-term satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate closely with the wider sales and support teams, ensuring accurate CRM data capture and reporting.
- Analyse sales performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance results.
- Represent the business at client meetings, industry events, and trade shows across Belgium and Europe.
- Occasional travel to the London office for team meetings and collaboration.
Candidate Profile
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven success in a business development or sales role, ideally within the EV charging, solar, or broader energy sectors.
- Experience selling through distribution and wholesale channels, with a deep understanding of how to engage and grow these networks.
- Strong track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Comfortable with cold-calling, lead generation, and developing new business channels.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build authentic, trust-based relationships.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to a wide range of audiences.
- Tech-savvy, with experience using CRM platforms and productivity tools (experience with Slack, Jira, and Odoo is an advantage).
- Strong commercial acumen with a proactive, self-starting approach.
Language Requirements:
- Native or bilingual proficiency in Dutch or French.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
