What you will be doing:

We are seeking a Senior Business Development Executive to join our Commercial team, focusing on bringing promising early-stage businesses to the Crowdcube platform. This role is ideal for someone interested in startups and business, with experience in B2B sales and the startup/investment ecosystem, eager to influence startup finance and support entrepreneurs.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
  • Achieving individual and team revenue and volume targets
  • Exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales activity goals
  • Proactively seeking new investment opportunities through outbound efforts
  • Qualifying inbound and partnership-sourced opportunities
  • Building partnerships within the UK startup ecosystem to meet revenue goals
  • Optimising processes for identifying new opportunities using sales tools
  • Consulting startups on funding rounds and negotiating terms
  • Collaborating with marketing and other teams to improve processes and provide feedback
  • Staying informed about developments in the finance, startup, and funding industries

  • Confident engaging with C-level executives and founders, with strong relationship-building skills

Required experience and skills:
  • Passion for startups, entrepreneurship, and alternative finance
  • Experience in consultative sales, business development, or partnerships
  • Experience working in target-driven environments
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of the London startup ecosystem or existing network
