About the Role :
This is a senior commercial leadership role, pivotal to our UK growth strategy. You will be responsible for developing and leading strategic business development initiatives, forging long-term partnerships, and unlocking scalable commercial opportunities. You'll work closely with the UK Managing Director and collaborate cross-functionally with product, policy and operations teams across France and the UK.
Key Responsibilities :
- Strategic Growth & Commercial Development
Lead the execution of the UK business development strategy, aligned with group-level commercial goals
Identify and prioritise high-value commercial opportunities in the energy, housing, local authority and infrastructure sectors.
Own the end-to-end commercial process from market analysis and pitch development through to contract negotiation and execution.
- Partnership Management
Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with local authorities, housing providers, grid operators and industry stakeholders.
Represent Voltalis in high-level meetings, industry events, and consortia to build brand credibility and pipeline opportunities.
Shape co-branded and white-label offerings in collaboration with key partners.
Track market trends, competitor activity, and policy/regulatory developments in the UK energy sector.
Work with product and policy teams to adapt Voltalis' commercial offerings for the UK market.
Build compelling value propositions and go-to-market strategies for different customer segments.
- Internal Collaboration & Reporting
Partner with marketing, product, and operational teams to support commercial readiness and successful implementation of new partnerships.
Provide regular pipeline reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to the Managing Director and executive team.

Preferred ExperienceAbout You :
7+ years' experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or commercial strategy roles
A proven track record of closing complex B2B or public sector deals (£500k+)
Experience in the energy, cleantech, housing, infrastructure, or sustainability sectors
Strong strategic thinking and financial acumen with the ability to create business cases and long-term growth plans
Confident relationship builder and negotiator, able to influence senior stakeholders and public sector decision-makers
Entrepreneurial, highly motivated and comfortable in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
Experience in a scale-up, start-up, or market entry context
Familiarity with energy flexibility, demand response, or smart grid technologies
Understanding of UK energy and housing policy and how they intersect with net-zero goals
