Hybrid working: 2/3 days on-site, including site visits.

Interviews are scheduled to take place ASAP.

Reporting to the Building Control Manager, you will be responsible for Building Control for a Local Authority.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Conduct site inspections, examine compliance, and manage a caseload of Building Regulations submissions.
2. Advise applicants, builders, architects, and other clients on design projects and fees.
3. Respond to all Building Control matters promptly.
4. Safeguard the Authority's financial interests while supporting the evaluation and collection of fees and charges.

Candidate Requirements:

1. RBI registration at Class 2A with the Building Safety Regulator.
2. Associated or full membership of CABE, RICS, CIOB, IStructE, or ICE. RBI registration at Class 2B, 2C, or 2D with the Building Safety Regulator.
3. Chartered professional qualification (Surveyor, Building Engineer, Civil, Structural, or Fire Safety).
4. Strong technical knowledge of Building Regulations and British Standards.
5. Experience in a relevant building, construction, or engineering environment.
6. Recent experience as a Building Control Surveyor within a Local Authority.
