Senior Bookkeeper / Management Accountant - Top 80 firm

Overview

Are you a Senior Bookkeeper, Management Accountant or Outsourcing Senior with strong management accounts experience and at least 3 to 5 years experience in an accountancy firm, looking to work for a modern and forward thinking medium size West End accountancy practice? This role offers the opportunity to utilise your expertise in cloud based software and act in an advisory capacity to a large business you will spend the majority of your time working on, plus a number of high profile clients from a variety of sectors. You will work for a medium size, entrepreneurial, good quality accountancy practice which also offers great opportunities and progression, with flexible working and the ability to work from home two days a week.

Responsibilities

• Spend the majority of your time working on one large client while also supporting a variety of other clients as needed.
• Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Prepare VAT returns and complete general bookkeeping assignments.
• Provide client advisory services using cloud based software such as Xero or QuickBooks Online.
• Assist clients with migrating from other software packages to cloud software.
• Lead ad hoc projects and assignments such as cash flows, forecasting and budgeting.
• Deliver training as required and seek growth and development opportunities within the role.

Qualifications and Requirements

• At least 3 to 5 years experience (or more) working for a good quality practice firm.
• Experience with the duties listed above, particularly the preparation of management accounts.
• Desire to upgrade to a high-quality West End firm and contribute to a rapidly expanding department.
• Willingness to work on a wide variety of London-based clients, take on responsibility quickly, and service clients to a high standard.
• Hybrid working arrangement: 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
• Open to candidates relocating to London from outside the city.
