Job Description

Senior Bid Manager

Permanent | Remote-first | Occasional travel to London | Up to £65,000 + bonus

We're looking for an experienced Senior Bid Manager to join a fast-growing consultancy and take ownership of its public sector bid and framework activity.

This is a high-impact role for someone who wants the opportunity to shape and lead the bid function, rather than simply contribute to it. You'll take the lead across key government frameworks including DOS 7, G-Cloud, TS4 and future frameworks as they are awarded, identifying opportunities, managing submissions and driving bids from initial qualification through to contract award.

As the consultancy continues to grow, you'll also play a key role in identifying new frameworks, procurement routes and opportunities to expand its footprint across the UK public sector.

What you'll be doing

  • Own and lead the end-to-end bid process across public sector frameworks and tenders.
  • Identify and qualify relevant opportunities each month.
  • Lead, write and coordinate compelling tender submissions from initial opportunity through to contract award with support of the team.
  • Manage activity across frameworks including DOS 7, G-Cloud and TS4.
  • Collaborate closely with technical specialists, SMEs and senior leadership to develop strong, differentiated responses.
  • Identify new frameworks and routes to market that can accelerate public sector growth.
  • Develop and improve bid processes, content and best practice as the business scales.
  • Take real ownership of the consultancy's bid pipeline and framework strategy.

What we're looking for:

You'll already have strong experience working with UK public sector frameworks, ideally including DOS, G-Cloud and TS4 or closely related routes to market. Most importantly, you'll have a proven track record of leading successful tenders from start to finish, with demonstrable experience of converting opportunities into contract awards.

You'll also bring:

  • Excellent bid writing and storytelling skills.
  • Strong knowledge of UK public sector procurement.
  • Experience managing complex, deadline-driven tender processes.
  • The ability to work confidently with technical stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Strong commercial judgement and the ability to identify the opportunities worth pursuing.
  • A proactive, ownership-led approach suited to a growing consultancy.

Why join?

This is an opportunity to step into a role with genuine ownership and influence. You'll have the freedom to shape how bids are run, help determine which frameworks and opportunities the business pursues, and directly contribute to the consultancy's growth in the public sector.

For someone who enjoys building as well as bidding, there is significant scope to make the role your own as the business continues to scale.
