Senior Associate, Practice Management
At Dimensional, we are focused on changing the way people think and feel about investing. This role will be central to the effort of furthering Dimensional's reputation for industry leadership and championing the role of Dimensional's clients in empowering end investors.
The Senior Associate - Practice Management in the EMEA Client Communications team supports the EMEA Global Client Group (GCG) in designing, developing, executing and reporting on a wide range of important activities which grow and enhance Dimensional's business worldwide, primarily in the fields of Practice Management and Communities. This work is done in concert with the firm's teams, locally and globally.
The role is specifically responsible for delivering practice management tools, resources and thought leadership to Dimensional's EMEA GCG clients, and helping manage the region's study groupsand communities programmes, with support from the EMEA Client Communications team, the EMEA Client Relationship Group (CRG), and other teams globally. The position will be responsible for assisting the Regional Director, Practice Management, the wider EMEA Client Communications team, and the US Practice Management team. The role will require a knowledge and enthusiasm for Practice Management concepts, technologies and tools and will involve working with internal stakeholders and engagement with both existing and new clients.
The role will report directly to the EMEA Head of Client Communications, with a matrix report to the Head of Practice Management in the US. To be successful, the Senior Associate must have a solid foundational knowledge of business strategy and practice management as it relates to the financial services industry and will have a track record of experience with prospects and clients, including study groups and communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Practice Management and Communities - Strategy & Execution
- Anchored by the Dimensional philosophy and approach to business analytics, help advisers identify key strategic and business opportunities and deliver practice management resources to address those opportunities.
- Assist with the leadership and operation of Dimensional's Global Advisor Study and Global Investor Study, and other pulse surveys as required.
- Analyse, interpret and effectively communicate proprietary benchmark, study and survey data to identify key findings and trends.
- Formulate and project manage tailored Dimensional practice management initiatives designed to support the adviser community.
- Develop new content and initiatives for internal and external stakeholders, in conjunction with the EMEA Head of Client Communicationsand the US Practice Management and Communities teams.
- An ability to present effectively to clients at Dimensional and industry events, and in client meetings.
- Interact directly with clients in meetings, and to answer ad hoc queries.
- Be a team-player with a creative spirit within Dimensional's teams, particularly the firm's Client Communications, Practice Management and Communities teams, and more broadly the GCG.
- Regularly demonstrate leadership characteristics within the team that supports the development of future practice management talent.
- Effectively and credibly communicate practice management concepts with advisers and their teams.
- Assist training for the GCG sales team to effectively communicate and deploy practice management studies and surveys with clients, and encourage the growth and reach of Dimensional's studies.
- Help develop study groups and other communities in EMEA, working in concert with the EMEA GCG and the US Dimensional Communities team.
- Develop in-depth understanding of Dimensional's GCG business, personnel, and clients
- Looks for ways to improve current procedures and processes.
- Be a spokesperson and champion of the Dimensional brand and investment theory throughout the industry and marketplace.
Qualifications and Competencies Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- A good knowledge of Dimensional, a belief in Dimensional's investment philosophy and an understanding of Dimensional 360.
- Previous experience work either as a Financial Advisor, within practice management for an investment management firm.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence and build effective relationships.
- An entrepreneurial spirit with high energy and passion; a self-starter.
- Team-oriented: ability to establish effective relationships, gain commitment and credibility and work effectively across internal teams.
- Demonstrates the ability to integrate research into the success of the business.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects at once.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills and a professional client service and experience mindset.
- Must hold or complete the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) within 6 months of joining.
