The Team

Join our Prudential Risk & Regulatory team, where you will lead and deliver regulatory strategy and transformation projects for bank clients across Europe. How You Will Contribute

As a Senior Associate, you will lead client engagements focused on the interpretation, implementation, optimization, or remediation of prudential regulations. You will bring deep knowledge of prudential regulation, strong analytical capability, and the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Treasury, and Regulatory Affairs functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead client engagements focused on the interpretation, implementation, optimization, or remediation of prudential regulations, including CRD VI / CRR III and Basel IV reforms, MIFID/MIFIDPRU regulatory capital and liquidity assessments / ICARA, ICAAP / ILAAP enhancement and stress testing, IRRBB and liquidity risk management and governance, large exposures, concentration risk, capital stacking and buffers, and Solvent Wind Down, Recovery & Resolution Planning (RRP) and SREP responses.
  • Assess client frameworks and controls against regulatory expectations and best practices.
  • Develop pragmatic and credible remediation plans in response to regulatory findings or supervisory feedback.
  • Provide regulatory input into M&A, authorization, or restructuring transactions.
  • Engage directly with regulators on behalf of clients where required.
  • Translate regulatory developments into client-specific impacts and lead horizon-scanning initiatives.
  • Coach and support junior team members and contribute to knowledge development.
  • Contribute to proposals, thought leadership, and market positioning activity.

Qualifications

  • Experience in prudential regulation, gained in one or more of the following: banking supervision, consulting or advisory roles, or in-house prudential risk, regulatory affairs, or treasury risk functions.
  • Deep familiarity with key elements of the CRD/CRR framework and Basel standards.
  • Hands-on experience designing, reviewing, or remediating ICAAP, ILAAP, or recovery plans.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex regulation and assess its practical impact on business models.
  • Ability to lead high-quality deliverables and present effectively to senior client stakeholders.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience working with PRA/ECB-regulated banks.
  • Knowledge of the UK and EU supervisory review process (SREP) and expectations.
  • Familiarity with cross-border regulatory change and equivalence regimes.
  • Exposure to strategic balance sheet management, capital, and liquidity optimization.

Education & Qualifications

  • Strong academic background.
  • Professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM, PRMIA, or progress toward these is a plus.
