Job Description
The Role

You'll be joining a nationally recognised Intellectual Property team, advising on the development, structuring, and exploitation of IP rights. Responsibilities include:

  • Drafting and negotiating IP transactions including licensing, assignments, and franchising
  • Advising on IP ownership structures and audits
  • Supporting R&D, collaboration agreements, and joint ventures across academic and private sectors
  • Providing strategic input on broader commercial transactions involving IP
  • Working with high-profile clients across retail, food, tech, and energy sectors
  • Collaborating with a team of over 20 IP lawyers, including senior contacts in Bristol
Candidate Requirements

This role is suited to a qualified lawyer with:

  • 6+ years PQE in non-contentious/transactional IP matters
  • Strong technical expertise and commercial awareness
  • Excellent drafting and client communication skills
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for innovation
  • Registration with the SRA or Law Society of Scotland
Working Arrangements
