Senior Application Support Engineer

We are looking for a candidate with a networking/IT background willing to work as an on-site application engineer. The on-site Engineer participates predominantly in the deployment, maintenance, performance, and monitoring activities. It is a diverse role that also encompasses elements of Infrastructure and application support in close cooperation with the authority's representatives and KTC internal teams.
Your responsibilities:
- Deliver end-to-end support for proprietary applications and COTS components, ensuring seamless functionality and addressing customer needs.
- Manage and monitor network infrastructure, servers (200+), and systems daily to maintain high availability, security, and performance.
- As subject matter expert, perform in-depth troubleshooting and identify resolution for complex issues within defined SLAs.
- Lead the deployment, configuration, and upgrading of applications of software releases to production and pre-production environments.
- Develop scripts, automate workflows, and optimize system processes to improve reliability, performance, and efficiency.
- Proactively work to improve reliability, performance, and security of the ecosystem (professional services).
- Continuous system improvement, both quality and efficiency-wise for application monitoring, overall system architecture, backup and roll-back plans, performance tuning, and testing.
- Build strong customer relationships and foster collaboration with internal support & engineering teams.
Your profile:
Higher education with IT background (University degree is an asset).
At least 5 years of experience in application support.
Experience with IT service management frameworks (ITIL) and ticketing systems.
Experience with automation and scripting, knowledge of programming languages.
Knowledge of cloud.
Possess or be able to obtain BPSS clearance or higher.
Advanced level of English.
Team-oriented with a willingness to mentor junior team members and work closely with cross-functional teams.
Ability to diagnose complex issues, prioritize, and implement effective solutions.
Ability to proactively engage with clients, listen to feedback along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experienced with Intelligent Transportation Systems (nice-to-have).
