The Role

We're seeking a Senior Android Engineer - You'll lead a cross-functional team building resilient Back End systems that support millions of users, with a direct impact on product and business outcomes.

This fast-paced role demands expertise in building scalable, secure services and guiding the evolution of our platform's microservices ecosystem.

What You'll Do

  • Architect, build, and maintain ground-breaking Android apps
  • Lead architectural decisions focusing on performance, observability, fault tolerance, and scalability
  • Own complex Back End features end-to-end-design, implement, test, deploy, and monitor
  • Mentor and guide engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and best practices
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams in an agile environment
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering standards, code quality, and team productivity
  • Shape the platform's service-oriented architecture and infrastructure as we scale
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and champion AI and automation tools to boost team efficiency

About You

  • Over 6 years of hands-on experience in Android development.
  • Strong grasp of software architecture, design patterns, and industry best practices.
  • Proven expertise in building Android applications using Kotlin, Coroutines, Jetpack Libraries, and Jetpack Compose.
  • Skilled in developing scalable, high-performance, and developer-friendly SDKs for third-party integration.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Background in telematics is a valuable asset.
  • Familiarity with the insurance or finance sectors is a plus, along with a genuine interest in how insurance can positively impact lives and support meaningful careers.
