The role in a nutshell
As a Senior Administrator at Denewood Academy, you will take a lead role in supporting the centralised Business Support Services as well as the Senior Leadership Team at the Academy in areas of finance, HR, payroll, administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team and school office responsibilities. You will work closely with the Head of School and the Executive Principal of Alternative Provision as well as other Senior Leaders.

You will support the business functions of the Trust through the effective management of the academy office. You will be supporting the whole staff in their aim to help children learn and develop the skills and character required to foster confidence, curiosity, creativity, and empathy. Qualifications- 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (grade 4-9) or equivalent - Essential
- NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in relevant discipline or willingness to work towards - Desirable
- School Business Management qualification e.g., CSBM or willing to work towards - Desirable
- Dedicated - Essential
- Ability to work collaboratively and lead a team - Essential
- Be flexible and approachable, remain resilient under pressure, and show a positive and energetic attitude to work - Essential
- Experience of a wide range of administrative functions, including managing a team of staff - Essential
- Experience of working with pupils with special educational needs - Desirable
- Experience of working within an education setting or equivalent - Desirable
- Previous experience working as an office manager in an educational environment - Desirable
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality at all times - Essential
- Excellent record-keeping skills and attention to detail, in order to produce reports, take minutes of meetings, and document safeguarding concerns - Essential
- Willingness to work with children and young people - Essential
- Ability to establish positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues - Essential
- A passion for working with pupils with special educational needs - Essential
