Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and self-driven Senior Accountant to join our growing EMEA team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will take full ownership of daily and monthly accounting operations and play a key part in the financial health and growth of our European business.

You will collaborate closely with the General Manager of Splashtop BV and the Director of Corporate Accounting in the U.S. This is a great opportunity for someone ready to step into a pivotal role with growth potential toward financial leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting tasks including invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, expense processing, and bank reconciliations
• Lead the month-end close process and preparation of financial statements
• Oversee quarterly VAT filings and ensure Dutch GAAP and tax compliance
• Coordinate monthly payroll with external providers
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition under ASC 606 and manage merchant reconciliations
• Partner with Sales and cross-functional teams to support billing and financial reporting
• Identify areas for improvement and help optimize accounting processes
• Act as the key finance contact for internal and external stakeholders in EMEA
• Manage collaboration with third-party accounting firms and support regulatory reporting
• Support strategic planning and financial risk management initiatives

Who you are

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; RA or CPA is a plus
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in SaaS or tech
• Strong knowledge of Dutch GAAP, VAT, and familiarity with US GAAP
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite and advanced Excel skills
• Structured, independent, and detail-oriented working style
• Confident communicator, fluent in English
• Comfortable working across departments in a fast-paced environment
