Senior Accountant - Private Equity
Are you looking for a dynamic and versatile role in Amsterdam where you can apply and expand your financial expertise across various aspects of accounting for international private equity clients? As a Senior Accountant - Financial services you will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting services and strategic financial insights in a fast-paced environment.
Your Role
As part of an experienced team, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting records, preparing tailored financial reports, and managing complex client transactions. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders and take on a mentoring role for junior colleagues.
Your Team
You'll be part of a dynamic international team of 10 accountants, consisting of 5 juniors and 5 seniors. Collaboration is at the heart of what they do, supporting each other on complex cases and sharing responsibilities to deliver results for both the company and our clients. You'll report to the Manager Accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements.
- Oversee bookkeeping activities, including accruals, interest calculations, investment movements, and reconciliations under Dutch GAAP and US GAAP.
- Review distributions and capital contribution requests.
- Prepare and analyze cash flow statements.
- Coordinate and prepare CIT & VAT returns.
- Prepare audit files and support statutory audits.
- Act as a key point of contact for client-specific accounting requests.
- Maintain relationships with clients, shareholders, banks, accountants, and other external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery, including bank account openings and tax registrations.
Your Profile
- 5 plus years of experience in audit or accounting.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics, or a related field.
- Experience with private equity structures is a must
- Currently living in the Netherlands
