This is a great opportunity for a position as a full time SEND TeachingAssistantat a welcoming & well-run secondary special needs school in Salford. You'll support secondary-aged children, including those with additional needs, such as Autism & Complex Needs, helping them thrive in their learning journey.

The SEND Teaching Assistant Role:
  • Start Date: Tuesday 1st Sept 2026.
  • Contract: Long-term, with potential for permanency.
  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am-3:30 pm.
  • Pay: £95-115 per day (DOE), paid PAYE directly through Cover People.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Assist in the classroom, providing support to both individual pupils and small groups.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help children develop confidence, social skills, and a love for learning.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to deliver tailored support for each child.
  • Encourage independence and celebrate each child's achievements.

What you'll need to provide:
  • A CV detailing your full education and work history.

  • Two professional references.
  • Experience working with children is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
