SEND Teaching Assistant

SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant based in EYFS

Location: Staveley, Chesterfield

Start Date: 02/10/2026

Duration: Ongoing

Hours: Monday to Friday, mornings only

Trust Education are currently recruiting for a SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child within a Reception class at a welcoming primary school in the Chesterfield area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and caring Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them to thrive within a mainstream classroom.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and school staff to provide dedicated 1:1 support, helping the child to access learning, develop their confidence and engage positively with their peers.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous experience working within an EYFS or Reception setting
• Have experience supporting children with SEND
• Be patient, nurturing and understanding
• Have a calm and positive approach
• Be confident supporting a child on a 1:1 basis
• Be reliable and available Monday to Friday mornings
• Hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS
