Job Description
SEN Teaching Assistant (Secondary) - Nuneaton 
Location: Nuneaton
Contract: Full-time / Part-time (term-time)
Start Date: As soon as possible (or specify)
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for secondary students with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties)
- Support students in accessing the secondary curriculum across a range of subjects
- Assist students with emotional regulation, engagement, and behaviour management
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours
- Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Support students during lessons, transitions, and unstructured times where required
- Have experience working with secondary-aged students, ideally with SEN
- Be patient, resilient, and understanding
- Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Be able to adapt support strategies to meet individual needs
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
