Location: South Manchester - Wythenshawe, Trafford & Stockport
Salary: £107.71 - £115 per day
Contract Type: Full-Time, Part-Time, Temporary, Long-Term & Permanent Opportunities

Milk Education is seeking caring, dedicated and resilient SEND Teaching Assistants to work across a range of schools throughout South Manchester, including Wythenshawe, Trafford and Stockport.

We are looking for Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistants, as well as experienced SEND support professionals, who are confident supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs.

Whether you're looking for a long-term role, short-term experience, flexible work or a permanent opportunity, we have a variety of positions available.

You could be supporting pupils within mainstream primary schools, specialist settings or SEND provisions, providing personalised support to help pupils access learning, develop independence and build confidence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEND and additional needs
  • Support pupils with their learning, communication, behaviour and emotional development
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Work alongside teachers and wider school staff to provide personalised support
  • Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement with learning
What We're Looking For:
  • A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant/SEND qualification and/or relevant experience working in SEND support
  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND is essential
  • Experience supporting pupils with complex needs is highly desirable
  • Experience with autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication needs or challenging behaviour is welcomed
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A genuine commitment to supporting children and young people with SEND

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience and the requirements of the assignment.
