Job Description
Role

Axcis Education is recruiting an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant for a full time position at a specialist school near Solihull. The role begins in September and runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm. You will support pupils aged 4-11 years with a range of complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them access learning and achieve their individual goals. The daily rate is £92.63.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with a variety of SEND requirements.
  • Deliver tailored assistance to meet individual learning and development needs.
  • Encourage engagement, confidence and independence within the classroom.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Promote a calm, supportive and structured learning environment.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with children, ideally within an educational or SEND setting.
  • Effective behaviour management skills.
  • Patient, caring and empathetic approach.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Enhanced DBS registration on the Update Service.
