With schools preparing to reopen, Aspire People are currently recruiting experienced SEND Teaching Assistants to support primary schools from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who has genuine experience supporting pupils with additional needs and wants to secure a rewarding role for the new academic year.

The schools we work with are looking for practitioners who can provide consistent 1:1 and small-group support while helping pupils access learning, develop independence and feel confident within the school environment.

The Role:

Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND
Supporting children with Autism, ADHD, communication and learning needs
Helping pupils access the curriculum through differentiated activities
Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
Delivering targeted interventions where required
Working alongside class teachers and SENCOs
Supporting pupils during lessons, breaktimes and transitions
Encouraging independence, confidence and social development
Recording and feeding back on pupil progress

We're Looking For:

Recent experience supporting pupils with SEND
Previous experience within a UK primary school
Strong understanding of individualised SEND support
Calm, patient and consistent approach
Confident managing challenging behaviour
Excellent relationship-building skills
Strong communication and teamwork

A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification would be advantageous, alongside experience supporting pupils with more complex needs.
