SEND Specialist - St. Albans
Full-Time Role Immediate Start
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Specialist to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hertfordshire.
The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the SENDCO to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping to create a positive, engaging, and accessible learning environment where every child can thrive.
This rewarding opportunity would suit someone with previous SEND experience within a school, alternative provision, or care setting who is passionate about supporting children both academically and emotionally.
This is a full time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, with an immediate start available.
The successful candidate will have:- Previous experience working with children or young people in the UK.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
- A calm, caring, and proactive approach to promoting students' learning and overall development.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs.
- Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Help ensure that every student feels supported and encouraged both in the classroom and around the school.
- Assist with classroom management and daily routines, helping to create a calm and structured setting.
- Play a key role in fostering an atmosphere where all pupils can develop confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
- Available Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm.
- Hold a valid DBS, or be willing to apply for one.
- Experience working with children who have special educational needs.
- Live in or be able to commute easily to the St. Albans area.
Pay rate is dependent on qualifications, experience and skills.
