Location: Wedmore, Somerset
Pay: £168.80 - £243.45 per day
Type: Temp-Perm
Hours: Full-time
Start date: 01/09/2026 (possible sooner start date, depending on candidate availabilty)
About the CandidateThe ideal candidate will possess:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching PSHE within a SEND, secondary, or specialist school setting
- Strong subject knowledge across the PSHE curriculum, including areas such as emotional wellbeing, relationships, independence, and life skills
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging, accessible, and highly structured lessons that meet a wide range of additional needs
- Confidence in differentiating activities to support pupils with diverse learning needs, including EHCP requirements
- Strong behaviour management skills, with a calm, consistent, and nurturing approach that supports pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
- A commitment to promoting inclusion, independence, and positive personal development for all learners
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, working effectively with pupils, support staff, external professionals, and parents/carers
