Sutton, South London - Start September 2026. Hours: 11am-2pm (Term Time Only). Contract: Temporary to Permanent. Pay: from £14.25 per hour. Axcis Education is recruiting a caring and enthusiastic lunchtime assistant / SEND support assistant for a highly rated specialist school.
Responsibilities- Supervise and support pupils with SEND during lunchtime.
- Support children with ASD, ADHD, PMLD and additional learning needs.
- Assist with personal care, including eating, drinking and toileting when required.
- Encourage independence, communication and social interaction.
- Support pupils in accessing play, leisure and outdoor activities safely.
- Monitor pupil wellbeing and respond appropriately to behavioural or emotional needs.
- Work closely with school staff to maintain a safe, positive and inclusive environment.
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND, SEN, ASD, ADHD or PMLD.
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Support Worker, Care Assistant, Youth Worker or Lunchtime Supervisor is desirable.

Axcis requires a current DBS check. If the position involves working with children or vulnerable adults, the post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.
