Job Description

A supportive and welcoming Primary school located in the heart of Islington between Old Street and Angel, are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and dedicated candidate to provide high quality support to students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. The suitable candidate does not require experience working in a school but does require SEND experience.

Working days: Monday to Friday

Working hours: 8:30am until 4pm

What the role will involve:

  • Supporting students with needs such as Autism, SEMH, ADHD, Down's Syndrome and MLD
  • Working closely with the class teacher and schools SENDco to ensure the best support is provided
  • Completing observations and documenting them
  • Liaising with external agencies such as occupational therapists

What you need to apply for the SEND Support position:

  • Experience working with Special Educational Needs
  • An up-to-date DBS, ideally registered with the update service or happy to apply for a DBS
