SENCO Practitioner at The Learning Experience

Salary: Up to £32,000 per year (dependent on qualifications & experience)

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Location: Leatherhead, Surrey

We are looking for an experienced and qualified SENCO Nursery Practitioner to join our welcoming Leatherhead team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive nursery where children are encouraged to learn, play, and grow in a safe, engaging environment.

Your Role

As a SENCO Nursery Practitioner, you will:

  • Plan and deliver activities that support children's development
  • Create a safe, nurturing, stimulating environment in line withEYFS
  • Track and celebrate developmental milestones
  • Build positive relationships with families
  • Work with colleagues to maintain high standards of care
  • Follow safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Lead and champion support for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), ensuring they can actively participate in learning and achieve their full potential
  • Collaborate with families, staff, and external professionals to deliver personalised support plans that effectively meet each child's individual needs.
  • Creating an inclusive, caring environment where every child feels valued and supported to reach their full potential.

About You

We are seeking someone who has:

  • Afull & relevant Level 2 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
  • Experience in an early years setting (Nursery Nurse, Practitioner, Early Years Educator, or similar)
  • Strong knowledge ofEYFS, safeguarding, and child protection
  • A passion for early childhood education and commitment to excellence
  • Experience of working with children with SEND requirements.
