TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, are recruiting an experienced and dedicated SEN Tutor to support pupils across the Coalville area. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with children and young people who require personalised 1:1 support outside of mainstream education, helping them to re-engage with learning and achieve meaningful progress.
About the RoleYou will be delivering tailored 1:1 tuition sessions to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, working in home, school, or alternative provision settings during school hours.
Your role will focus on rebuilding confidence, closing learning gaps, and supporting pupils to make academic and personal progress at their own pace.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, individualised 1:1 lessons
- Adapt teaching methods to meet a range of learning needs
- Support pupils with SEN including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
- Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, and external professionals
- Encourage positive engagement, behaviour, and confidence in learning
- Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience in a UK school setting
- Strong understanding of the UK curriculum
- Proven ability to plan and deliver effective lessons
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN
- Excellent communication and classroom/behaviour management skillsA patient, consistent, and adaptable approach
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification
- Experience in 1:1 tuition, intervention, or alternative provision
- Familiarity with EHCP targets and SEN strategies
