SEN Tutor - 1:1 Support

Location: Blackpool Area £25 per hour Flexible Part-Time Hours

We are seeking inspirational and engaging tutors with experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 tuition for pupils who may not be able to access traditional school settings, helping them re-engage with learning and build confidence.

Role

• Deliver personalised learning plans on a 1:1 basis

• Take a patient, empathetic, and creative approach to teaching

• Use therapeutic strategies to support emotional as well as academic development

• Provide structure and routine to help pupils progress

• Work closely with Prospero to track outcomes through weekly reports

This tuition often replaces traditional schooling and typically takes place part-time during school hours, Monday to Friday.

Requirements

• QTS, equivalent qualification, or strong tutoring experience

• Experience working with SEN or disengaged pupils

• Patient, creative, and able to adapt teaching approaches

• UK teaching/tutoring experience (preferred but not essential)

Requirements

• Right to work in the UK

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

• Two professional, child-related references
