SEN Teaching Assistant ResponsibilitiesAs an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs, including:
- SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs)
- ADHD
- Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Complex Learning Needs
- Physical Disabilities
You may support pupils on a:
- 1:1 basis
- Small group basis
- Whole-class basis

What You'll Be Doing- Supporting pupils with Autism, SEMH and complex additional needs
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning interventions
- Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
- Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management
- Encouraging independence, confidence and life skills
- Helping pupils engage with learning and achieve their targets
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and support staff
- Promoting a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
