SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Silverstone & Surrounding Areas
Start: September 2026
We are seeking dedicated teaching assistants to support students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, autism, ADHD, and Asperger's syndrome. You may be providing 1:1 support, working with small intervention groups, or assisting teachers within the classroom to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting children and young people with additional needs.
- Delivering 1:1 support or small group intervention, or classroom assistance.
- Helping pupils develop confidence, emotional regulation, social skills, and independence.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and building relationships with students.
- Working with teachers to create a positive learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- A passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience.
- Confidence in supporting pupils with SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and associated needs.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
Other requirements:
- Ideally hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle, especially for rural schools.
