1:1 Teaching Assistant - Reception

Location: Willenhall, Wolverhampton WV12
Start Date: Immediate or September start
Contract: Full time, ongoing
Agency: Smile Education

About the Role

As the school's 1:1 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personalised support to a Reception aged pupil with additional needs
  • Supporting the pupil's learning through tailored activities and interventions
  • Helping to develop communication, confidence, and independence
  • Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support staff
  • Ensuring a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment

Applicant Requirements
  • Experience supporting children with SEN or additional needs (essential)
  • Qualifications:
  • Level 3 Early Years Educator (EYE)
  • Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)
  • Level 3 NVQ in Children's Care, Learning and Development
  • Level 3 CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education (Early Years Educator)
  • Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Children's Play, Learning and Development
  • Level 3 T Level in Education and Early Years (with placement completed)
  • Level 2 or 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning
  • Level 2 or 3 Specialist Supporting Teaching & Learning
  • Level 2 or 3 Children and Young Persons Workforce
