Teaching Personnel are working closely with one of our partner SEND schools to recruit a dedicated SEND Support Staff member to work with students across year groups with additional needs. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, ideal for someone looking to secure a long-term role within a supportive school environment.
The RoleYou will be supporting students with Special Educational Needs, helping them to access the curriculum and develop both academically and socially. Support may be provided on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, depending on student needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting SEND students across KS3-4 in and out of the classroom
- Assisting with differentiated learning activities
- Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
- Working closely with teachers and the SENCO
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and inclusion
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (education, care, or youth work)
- A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
- Willingness to commit long-term, with the aim of moving to a permanent contract
- A temp-to-perm pathway with a trusted partner school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position, and in some cases the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
