Job Description

JOB TITLE - Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant

ABOUT THE SCHOOL Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive Primary School based in Yate. The school is committed to providing high-quality support for children with additional needs and offers ongoing professional development to all staff. Depending on performance, the school may look to extend the contract or offer a permanent position.

CONTRACT / POSITION DETAILS
  • Location: Yate
  • Position: Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Full-Time: Monday to Friday
  • Day Rate: £90 - £110
  • Hours: 8:20 am - 3:30 pm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • SEN experience - Mandatory
  • Strong background supporting children with:
    • Autism
    • Speech & Language Needs
    • Learning Difficulties
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training issued within the last year (or willingness to complete)
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies
  • Excellent communication skills
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an Enhanced Child Barred List DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for one
  • Provide 24 months of professional references, including child-related experience
