SEN Teaching Assistant (Autism Support) - Secondary School
Bexhill, East Sussex Full Time September Start £105 per day (PAYE)
Teach South Kent is seeking a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in Bexhill from September.
This full-time role involves supporting students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), helping them to access learning, build confidence and achieve their potential in a mainstream secondary school environment.
If you're an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant (LSA), SEN Teaching Assistant, or have experience working with children or young people in education, care or support settings, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with autism.
  • Support pupils both in the classroom and around the school.
  • Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and accessible learning.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
  • Help students develop independence, communication and social skills.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
  • Has experience supporting children or young people (school, SEN, care, youth work or similar).
  • Has an understanding of autism and additional learning needs (experience is desirable but not essential).
  • Is patient, resilient and compassionate.
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Is committed to helping every student succeed.
