Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
Luma Education Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming specialist education setting in Ashburton, Devon. This role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including SEN, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), Autism (ASD), ADHD, and associated learning needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a safe, engaging and nurturing environment.
The school is located in a rural area, so access to your own vehicle is highly recommended, as public transport options are limited.
There may also be flexibility around school-friendly working hours, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to fit work around family or childcare commitments.
The RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 support and work with small groups of pupils.
Assist teachers in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons.
Support pupils with SEN, SEMH, ASD and ADHD both inside and outside the classroom.
Help implement positive behaviour strategies (PRICE or TeamTeach experience is desirable).
Encourage pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
Create a calm, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
