SEN Teaching Assistant - Saltburn

We are working with a well known primary school in Saltburn who are seeking learning support assistants/classroom support workers.

You will be supporting students with their academic, personal and social development in a specialist learning environment. The role is demanding, challenging, and very rewarding.

Responsibilities:

• Support learners with Autism, moderate learning difficulties and varying levels of behaviour.
• Use a reflexive approach to learners, their learning and needs.
• Work creatively, pro actively and show emotional resilience when engaging learners who may have had a negative experience of education.

Hours: 8:30 3:30 Mon Fri

The ideal person:

• Experience working in a similar environment or with young people who may present challenging behaviours.
• Resilience, patience, compassion and understanding.
• Proactive, creative and empathetic.
• Adherence to the school's policies and practices.

We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance "Keeping Children Safe in Education", including an enhanced DBS disclosure. If you do not have a valid DBS subscription, a new application at a cost of £40 will be required.
