Job Description

Job Opportunity: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SENTA)

Location: Chesterfield

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs? We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SENTA) to work on a one-to-one basis with a pupil in Year 1. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child's educational journey.

Role Overview:

  • Full-time position, immediate start
  • Working one-to-one with a pupil in Year 1
  • Providing support throughout the day in lessons
  • Taking the pupil out for sensory breaks as needed
  • Supporting the pupil's social, emotional, and academic development
  • Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Patient, nurturing, and empathetic approach
  • Ability to work effectively on a one-to-one basis
  • Understanding of KCSIE guidelines and willingness to undergo vetting procedures
  • Qualification not required, but relevant experience in a similar role essential
