Job Opportunity: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SENTA)
Location: Chesterfield
Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs? We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SENTA) to work on a one-to-one basis with a pupil in Year 1. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child's educational journey.
Role Overview:
- Full-time position, immediate start
- Working one-to-one with a pupil in Year 1
- Providing support throughout the day in lessons
- Taking the pupil out for sensory breaks as needed
- Supporting the pupil's social, emotional, and academic development
- Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Patient, nurturing, and empathetic approach
- Ability to work effectively on a one-to-one basis
- Understanding of KCSIE guidelines and willingness to undergo vetting procedures
- Qualification not required, but relevant experience in a similar role essential
