Empower Potential: SEN Teacher Needed in Cambridge

Are you a dedicated educator who believes that every child deserves a tailored path to success? Do you thrive in environments where empathy, creativity, and resilience are at the heart of the classroom?

We are seeking a passionate SEN Teacher to join a brand-new, therapeutic specialist school located in the beautiful surroundings of Foxton, South West of Cambridge. This is an incredible opportunity to be part of a nurturing community that transforms the lives of young people with complex needs.

The Opportunity

This isn't your typical classroom. You will be working with small, bespoke groups of 4-6 pupils (aged 7-18) who face challenges related to SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and communication needs.

Set within expansive private grounds, the school offers a unique "outdoor-in" approach to learning. From a dedicated forest school and sensory trails to high-spec science, music, and art studios, you will have the resources to move beyond the textbook and truly engage your students.

  • Location: Cambridge (Foxton)

  • Salary: £28,000 - £39,520 per annum

  • Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (Term Time Only)

  • Hours: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

  • Start Date:ASAP

Your Role

As an SEN Teacher, you won't just deliver a curriculum; you will build confidence. Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Innovative Planning: Designing imaginative lessons that cater to a wide range of abilities and sensory needs.

  • Collaborative Growth: Working alongside a multidisciplinary team and parents to ensure holistic support for every child.

  • Creating Sanctuary: Maintaining a safe, stimulating, and therapeutic learning environment.

  • Celebrating Progress: Monitoring development through a lens of "small wins" that lead to life-changing outcomes.

Who We Are Looking For

We need a teacher who sees the person before the diagnosis. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • A proven track record of successful teaching (Primary experience is highly valued).

  • A deep understanding of the National Curriculum and the ability to adapt it fluidly.

  • The patience and imagination to motivate pupils who may have previously struggled in mainstream settings.

Why Join Us?

You will be part of a wider community of specialist schools, all rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted, with over 30 years of experience in improving young lives.

The Perks:

  • Competitive Salary reflecting your expertise.

  • Comprehensive Benefits: Including Life Assurance and a Company Pension.

  • Extensive Rewards: Access to an employee discount scheme with over 740 retailers, including major supermarkets and high street brands.

  • Environment: A fully refurbished, state-of-the-art facility designed for wellbeing.
