We're looking for a passionate and dynamic SEN Teacher who wants more than just a teaching role - someone ready to transform lives, inspire confidence and create meaningful learning experiences for pupils with autism and complex needs. As an SEN Teacher, you'll bring creativity, care and innovation into every lesson - designing learning that is tailored, engaging and impactful. You'll work in a supportive, collaborative environment alongside skilled professionals, using high quality resources to help pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally.
What You'll Be Doing- Planning and delivering engaging, personalised lessons tailored to individual needs
- Using creative and innovative approaches to build confidence, curiosity and independence
- Assessing progress across academic, social and emotional development
- Creating a safe, structured and nurturing classroom environment
- Building strong relationships with pupils, families and professionals
- Working collaboratively to provide a holistic, consistent approach to learning
You are someone who brings energy, empathy and adaptability to your teaching practice.
You will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a relevant degree
- Strong experience or understanding of SEN, including ASC and complex needs
- A compassionate, resilient approach to supporting pupils
- Excellent communication and teamworking skills
- Creativity and flexibility to adapt teaching to individual learners
Hemlock Stone School in Stapleford, Nottinghamshire opened in March 2026, and caters for up to 66 pupils, providing a specialist learning environment for young people with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and Complex Needs.
