We are looking for a dedicated Teacher with SEN experience to join our team. This role is an incredible opportunity for an individual with a passion for special education to make a significant impact on students with complex needs.

Starting in September 2024, the SEN Teacher will be instrumental in creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that recognises and celebrates the potential in every child.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other professionals to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
  • Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to students.
  • Observe and evaluate students' performance, behaviour, social development, and physical health.
  • Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.
  • Guide and counsel students with adjustment or academic problems, or special academic interests.
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies, including technology, to enhance learning and engage students.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an engaging Teacher in either a similar SEN or mainstream role.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs.
  • Ability to create and adapt curriculum to cater to various learning styles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff, parents, and other professionals.
  • A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach to teaching.
  • Relevant teaching qualifications (PGCE, QTS, QTLS).
