Location: Scarborough
Salary: £32,916 - £51,048 per annum
Contract: Full Time / Part Time
Start Date: Immediate or September 2026

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to work within a specialist setting in Scarborough.

About the School

This specialist provision supports pupils with a range of additional needs including SEN, SEMH, ASC and communication difficulties. The school provides a structured and nurturing environment, with a strong emphasis on personalised learning, therapeutic approaches and consistent routines to support both academic and emotional development.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
• Support pupils with complex learning and behavioural needs
• Adapt teaching strategies to ensure engagement and progress
• Work closely with teaching assistants and SEN staff
• Monitor and assess pupil progress against individual targets

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience working within SEN or specialist settings
• Strong understanding of SEMH, ASC and additional needs
• Patient, resilient and adaptable approach
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
