Job Description
SEN Teacher - Specialist School

Location:Bristol and surrounding areas
Contract: Full-time, long-term

Are you an enthusiastic teacher with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs?

We are recruiting an SEN Teacher to work within a specialist school supporting pupils with a range of complex learning needs.

You will be responsible for creating engaging and accessible lessons that meet the individual needs of every learner.

The school supports pupils with needs including:

  • Autism
  • Moderate and severe learning difficulties
  • Communication difficulties
  • ADHD
  • Physical and sensory needs
  • SEMH needs

You will work alongside experienced Learning Support Assistants and specialist professionals to ensure every pupil receives the support they need.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Has experience working with SEN pupils, or a strong interest in specialist education
  • Can differentiate lessons effectively
  • Has excellent behaviour management skills
  • Is patient, adaptable and creative

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
