SEN Support Assistant

We're recruiting experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to support a large primary school in the BS10 area with a strong, established SEN provision.
This is a structured setting where support staff play a key role in helping pupils access learning, manage routines, and develop confidence.
The roleYou'll be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including:
- Autism (ASC)
- ADHD
- Speech and language needs
- SEMH (social, emotional and mental health)
- Learning difficulties
Support will take place across:
- 1:1 support for EHCP pupils
- Small group interventions
- In-class support
- Dedicated SEN spaces and quieter provision areas
The school uses consistent routines, visual support strategies, and targeted interventions to support engagement and behaviour.
What you'll need- Experience working with children with SEN
- Confidence supporting behaviour in a calm, consistent way
- Ability to adapt support to suit individual needs
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
- £14.25+ per hour (PAYE)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
