SEN Specialist in Winterbourne

Winterbourne, Bristol Start: ASAP Hours: Full time or part time - A welcoming primary school in Winterbourne is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide focused 1:1 support.

Role Overview

• Provide consistent 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning needs.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised strategies.
• Encourage engagement, confidence, and emotional regulation.
• Support classroom routines, transitions and small group work.

Candidate Profile

• Previous SEN experience is essential.
• Calm, patient and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and rapport building skills.
• Level 2/3 TA qualification advantageous.
• Driving licence beneficial.
• SEN training highly valued, including: Understanding Autism, ADHD Awareness, Team Teach / De escalation Training, Trauma Informed Practice, BSL or communication based training, Makaton (highly desirable for supporting communication needs).
