SEN Learning Support Practitioner
Location: Stockport
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full Time Temp to Perm
Help children shine every day in a supportive, specialist school environment.
The RoleYou'll support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them feel safe, confident and engaged in learning.
You will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support
- Assist pupils with Autism, sensory needs & complex communication needs
- Support emotional regulation, social skills & independence
- Help with physical needs, mobility support and personal care
- Contribute to a positive, nurturing learning environment
- Experience in education, care, youth work or support roles
- Understanding of Autism, sensory needs or learning disabilities
- Patience, empathy and strong communication skills
- A calm, encouraging approach to behaviour and learning
- An Enhanced Child & Adult DBS (or willingness to apply)
- A positive, child centred school environment
- Supportive staff who value your wellbeing and ideas
- Genuine development and progression opportunities
- Meaningful relationships with pupils who benefit directly from your support
