Role Details: Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time) Pay: £95 - £105 per day Start Date: September 2026 (trial days available now) Contract: Monday to Friday, term-time only Duration: Full academic year (with potential to become permanent) Location: Norwich, Norfolk
About the Role:As an SEN Teaching Assistant in this specialist setting, you will support pupils aged 4-16 with profound and multiple learning difficulties, complex medical needs, and physical disabilities. Many pupils are non-verbal and require high levels of support with communication, mobility, and daily care. You'll work closely with a skilled multidisciplinary team, gaining hands-on training and making a meaningful difference every day.
Your responsibilities will include: Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs Supporting pupils with communication using methods such as PECS, Makaton, and sensory approaches Assisting with personal care, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene, delivered with dignity and respect Supporting mobility, including use of hoists and specialist equipment (training provided) Assisting with sensory-based learning and therapeutic activities Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, nurses, and external professionals Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and highly structured learning environment
