Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be partnering with a highly reputable and people-focused accountancy firm based in Hemel Hempstead, who are now seeking an experienced Accountant to join their collaborative and well-established team.

Key Responsibilities- Manage your own portfolio of clients across a broad range of sectors
- Prepare year-end accounts, personal tax returns, and VAT returns
- Support clients using modern cloud software, primarily Engager, Xero and TaxCalc
- Optional involvement in CIS returns, P11Ds and bookkeeping
- Deliver a high-quality, professional service and build strong client relationships
- Work closely with the wider team to contribute to a positive, collaborative culture
(Note: no audit work; payroll handled separately.)
Key Requirements- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA preferred)
- Experience managing your own client portfolio in practice
- Strong technical grounding across accounts and tax
- Confident using cloud-based accounting tools, Xero preferred
- A team-player with excellent communication skills
- Organised, proactive, and committed to delivering great client service
- Hybrid working after initial training
- 8:30am - 4:30pm working pattern to support work-life balance
