SEMH Teaching Assistant - Primary School
Full-Time Long-Term Role Aspire People
Aspire People are looking for a resilient and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support within a primary school.
You'll play a key role in helping children regulate their emotions, engage with learning, and develop positive relationships within the classroom.
The Role:
Supporting pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis
Implementing behaviour support strategies
Promoting emotional regulation and resilience
Supporting pupils during classroom learning and unstructured times
Working closely with teachers and SENCOs
Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience supporting SEMH or behavioural needs
Recent experience within a UK primary school
Calm, patient, and resilient approach
Excellent behaviour management skills
Passion for supporting vulnerable pupils
