SEMH Support Worker - Scunthorpe (Secondary & Specialist Settings)

Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Support

Location: Scunthorpe

Contract: Full-time, long-term

Salary: £475 - £550 per week (DOE)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide structured 1:1 or small-group support
  • Promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour
  • Encourage self-esteem and resilience
  • Support behaviour intervention plans and restorative approaches
  • Maintain consistent routines that help pupils feel safe

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with SEMH pupils (school, youth work or similar)
  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
  • Resilient, calm and able to build trusted relationships
  • Commitment to safeguarding and trauma-informed support
