Position: SEMH Secondary Teaching/Support Staff
Location: Tower Hamlets
Pay: £450.00 - £550.00 per week (paid weekly)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16:30
Start: Immediate/ASAP
Are you passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
We are seeking dedicated, resilient and compassionate professionals to join our specialist SEMH secondary school.
You will be working closely with students who require additional support to access learning, regulate emotions, and thrive within a nurturing environment. This role is ideal for individuals with strong behaviour management skills and a commitment to inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities- Support students with SEMH needs in both classroom and pastoral settings
- Build positive, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and progress
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and senior leaders
- Assist with behaviour strategies and personalised learning plans
- Maintain a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
- Essential: Experience working in an SEMH setting or with young people who present challenging behaviours
- Strong communication, empathy and resilience
- Ability to remain calm and consistent under pressure
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
- Weekly pay between £450 - £550
